About Kim Davies
With over fourteen years of experience as a teacher, lecturer, and private tutor, I bring both academic excellence and real-world results to test preparation. As a former National Merit Finalist whose top-percentile scores opened the doors to a full-tuition academic scholarship, I understand these exams from every angle.
Education: B.A. from Denison University (Paschal Carter full-tuition scholarship), M.F.A. from Brooklyn College
Teaching Experience: Former lecturer at Brooklyn College; taught SAT and ACT prep at New York City’s most competitive prep schools, including Ethical Culture Fieldston and Grace Church, and playwriting at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok
Published Writer: Playwright, screenwriter, and opera librettist with work produced in seven countries and premiered at the Kennedy Center — her play Smoke was a New York Times and Time Out New York Critics’ Pick. That storytelling craft is the foundation of her college essay coaching.
